Michael Baker takes the PRS Surf Ski to the 2010 Fish River Canoe Marathon
Michael Baker 3 times winner of Avon Descent in the Long Plastic Surf Ski and K1 Kayak classes, as well as the race record holder in the Long Plastic Surf Ski category will be heading to South Africa to paddle the Fish River Canoe Marathon in a Spirit PRS surf ski. Michael said “this is an exciting Opportunity for me as I understand this will be the first time the PRS surf skis have been raced in South Africa. There has been a long history of South Africans coming to paddle the Avon in kayaks. This will be a welcome change”.

The Fish River Canoe Marathon with a total race distance of 81.8 km over two days offers adrenalin filled classic canoe event that has become one of the most popular river kayak marathons worldwide. Guaranteed water, awesome rapids and a great atmosphere make this the ultimate river kayak race. Michael added “after the lack of water on this year’s Avon Descent I am looking forward the guaranteed water of the Fish River Canoe Marathon”.
